List of changes
- Provides required updates for "Haswell Refresh" processors incl. updated Intel Management Engine (ME) V9.1.0.1120
- Updated video BIOS and GOP driver (Win 8.x) implemented
- Updated PXE LAN code for Intel l217LM implemented
- BIOS Setup value for item “Aggressive LPM Support” (at “Advanced – SATA Configuration” submenu) changed to “Disabled” and greyed-out.
- Bug Fix: BIOS Setup entry with “Access Level: User” was possible without knowing any password
- Note: Intel recommends to use updated drivers when installing "Haswell Refresh" processors
Known problems and restrictions
- Update to BIOS R1.17.0 is only possible if BIOS R1.14.0 is installed first
- If BIOS R1.17.0 ist installed, BIOS downgrade to any previous BIOS version is NOT possible
- Depending on installed driver version of “Intel(R) Management Engine Interface” a BlueScreen may occur during BIOS update at Windows. Don’t use driver version v9.5.14.1724!
- USB3.0 memory stick sporadically not detected via USB legacy support during POST when connected to USB3.0 port.
- Running VirtualXP crashes during resume from ACPI S3 or ACPI S4.
- After starting BIOS update the process may stay approximately 70 seconds with 0% / 1% before continuing.
- Please wait and do not switch off the system during BIOS update!
- When clearing passwords (Administrator/User Password), passwords are not cleared when afterwards "Optimized Defaults" were loaded.
- BIOS Setup item "Power Failure Recovery: Disabled" not working as expected with "Low Power Soft Off: Enabled".
